Saran Allot-Davey

Meet Saran Allott-Davey, AXA Avenue’s Independent Financial Adviser. Over the last twelve months Saran has provided AXA Avenue’s 10 active households with regular independent financial advice.

“I have really enjoyed working on the AXA Avenue project and found it stimulating, interesting and challenging.”

“I felt the single most useful point for most of the active group to address was the setting-up of a detailed list of their income and expenditure in most instances this was extremely revealing and allowed them to gain an understanding of their cash flow problems and financial situation. In many instances this was the catalyst for them to start to improve their situation – for such an easy task it can be incredibly helpful

“Most people are actually capable of making reasonable financial decisions if they take the time and trouble to really think about their circumstances and carry out a little research or take some professional advice. I believe that the last twelve months has made a real difference to these households.””

Saran founded Newport-based Heron House Financial Management Ltd in 1994. In addition to an Honours Degree in Management her qualifications include the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate and the Certified Financial PlannerCM licence. She is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Planning and an Associate of the Society of Financial Advisers.

Saran specialises in investment (including socially responsible funds), inheritance tax planning and corporate pension schemes. A regular broadcaster on financial matters for the BBC, Saran is frequently invited to speak at conferences throughout the UK. She is a former Chairman of the South Wales Branch of the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) and is a regular speaker and contributor to the local IFP meetings.

Saran’s experience as a Financial Planner and businesswoman have been recognised with three outstanding national awards: Winner of the Woman IFA of the Year in 2004, Winner of the Financial Adviser Investment IFA of the Year in 2003 and Runner up of the Woman IFA of the Year in 2002.
