    Monarch Airlines Collapse Travel advice

    Information from AXA about your travel insurance

    On 2nd October 2017, Monarch Airlines confirmed that the following companies have ceased trading and now entered administration:

    • Monarch Airlines Ltd
    • Monarch Holidays Ltd (ATOL Number 2275) 
    • First Aviation Ltd (ATOL Number 4888) previously trading as Monarch Airlines
    • Avro Ltd (ATOL Number 1939)
    • Somewhere2stay Ltd

     

    Because of this, all future holidays and flights provided by these companies have been cancelled from 2nd October and are no longer operating.

    If you are stranded abroad

    Please contact Monarch in the first instance.

    If you are due to travel

    If you are booked on a Monarch Airlines flight, please do not go to your UK airport, as your flight will not be operating.

    1. In the first instance you should contact the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to understand what you can claim back and what you are entitled to.
    2. If the CAA is unable to cover you, you should contact your credit or debit card provider to see what cover you have under the regulation applicable to card purchases for lost flights.
    3. If you are not travelling and have unused accommodation and airport parking costs, claims can be considered under Travel Disruption cover, if purchased.
