Applying a bandage to a pet

1. Apply a pad of gauze directly to the wound; place a pad of cotton wool on top of this for padding absorption.
2. Wrap a bandage firmly around the limb but be careful not to pull too tightly. Do not use elastic bands or any other kind of constriction material!
3. A sock and/or a plastic bag can be used to protect and/or waterproof the bandage.
4. Secure the bandage with adhesive tape but be careful not to pull it too tight.
