Broken bones treatment

If your pet displays a sudden acute lameness and the limb position appears abnormal it might have broken bones. Further indications are a swelling and the pet showing distress on movement and unwillingness to move the injured limb.

• It is important to keep your pet still, restraining it as necessary to limit further damage.
• Do not attempt to reposition the limb.
