Pet worming

Almost all dogs will get worms at some point and your pet may carry them no matter how healthy it looks. An animal with worms may not always show any outward signs of ill health and because of this, the problem may be difficult to diagnose. Worms not only present a health problem to your pet but some types are dangerous to humans as well.

It is recommended that puppies are wormed fortnightly until they are 12 weeks old then monthly until 6 months old. After this, you should worm your pet every 3 months. If your new pet is an older animal, you should worm fortnightly 3 times and then continue to do so once every 3 months.

Worming tablets are available over the counter or on-line - and will be provided with instructions on how to use them.
