In his role as Chairman he will be responsible for ensuring that the committee continues to not only lobby and influence government thinking on pensions and savings but also strives to set place these topics higher on the general public agenda.
Chris Kenny, Director of Life and Pensions for the ABI commented,
"It's great that Steve has agreed to chair the ABI's new Pensions and Savings Strategy Committee. He takes on the role at a crucial time for the pensions industry and I have no doubt that his experience, expertise and credibility across the pensions world will stand him in excellent stead for the challenges which lie ahead for the industry and the ABI."
Steve Folkard commented,
"I am really pleased to be able to represent the Industry at what is a crucial time for both consumers, providers and advisory professionals. Establishing clear consensus that drives customer benefits whilst highlighting the important difference the Industry can make to people in their day to day lives will be the key aim of my Chairmanship."
