(27/11/2007) AXA & Winterthur Wealth Management makes first senior appointment to new investment company
AXA & Winterthur Wealth Management announces the appointment of Ian Colquhoun as Managing Director, Commercial Operations UK, to run its new investment company.
The new investment business will be established as a separate company under AXA UK. The yet to be named investment company will launch in early 2008 with a key aim to redefine the way funds are structured, managed and delivered to clients through the use of innovative, market leading solutions.
The new company will, in phase one, provide innovative manager of manager solutions to internal businesses within AXA.
Ian Colquhoun has over 25 years experience working within the pension and investment industry, 14 years of which have been spent at Winterthur. Prior to this new appointment Ian launched and led the investment development team identifying strategic opportunities in the wealth management market. Before that, Ian was National Account Executive for Winterthur, and set up and ran Winterthur’s award-winning Employee Benefits proposition.

Its design will enable the model to be scaleable and flexible to create multiple solutions, which will be built in-house over an outsourcing arrangement in order to provide control, consistency and customer focus. The company will be a progressive investment business which aims to transform the way management of investments is viewed, with its focus on delivering customer centric solutions.
