(03/06/2008) AXA Sponsors the Renaissance Faces Exhibition at the National Gallery
AXA is sponsoring the National Gallery’s Renaissance Faces exhibition.
A landmark exhibition at the National Gallery will provide a rare opportunity to trace the development of 15th and 16th century portrait painting in both Northern and Southern Europe, side by side.
The AXA sponsored Renaissance Faces exhibition will run from the 15 October 2008 till 18 January 2009. This collaboration will reinforce AXA’s commitment to the arts and leads on from the current exhibition sponsorship by AXA Foundation at the Museo Nacional del Prado from 3 June until 7 September 2008.
The exhibition will feature masterpieces by, among others: Titian, Botticelli, Van Eyck, Dürer, Pontormo and Bellini and will follow the development of portraiture during the Renaissance. "We hope that our support makes it possible to give the public access to such a fine exhibition."

This supports our global cultural philanthropy program to preserve or restore works of art, build up national museum collections and exposes the wider public audience to art and culture."
