Vaccinations

There are four essential vaccinations that your cat needs to protect him/her against diseases that can often prove fatal. These are Feline Infectious Enteritis (FIE), Feline Influenza (FHV-1 and FCV), and Feline Leukaemia (FeLV). These vaccinations are not only essential for the health of your cat but also necessary to ensure that your pet has the benefit of the insurance policy.

A kitten should be given its vaccinations at around 9 weeks of age with the second dose being given at around 12 weeks. A booster vaccination is then required 12 months on to increase the initial immunity level. This booster will usually take place once a year for the cat's life subject to advice from the vet.
