Hazards, illnesses, and diseases abroad
Tooth trouble
Common causes of tooth ache are dental decay (carries), a tooth fracture, ulcers, cavities in the teeth's enamel, and abscesses in the gums. These all have different causes but usually result in what just feels like tooth ache.
Whilst you are in no greater danger of suffering from tooth troubles abroad or on holiday, the symptoms of toothache can often start suddenly and unexpectedly, and can quickly become acute.
There is not at all that can be done to treat tooth troubles without seeking assistance from a dentist. It is important to try and seek medical assistance as soon as possible if you begin to suffer from tooth ache. If left untreated your initial tooth problem can become infected and ultimately this could result in blood poisoning.
