Video claims terms and conditions

  • For certain claims a customer can use our video claims app to show our in-house claims team the damage in their home, whether that’s caused by escape of water, spilled paint, or certain other scenarios.
  • This avoids the need for a loss adjustor to come to their home to assess the damage. The customer can arrange the video call at a time that is convenient to them, between 8am – 8pm weekdays and 9am – 5pm on Saturday.
  • The video assessment only works for lower value claims because more complex damage would need to be inspected on-site. It’s also true that many claims will require a supplier to fix a property, or can be settled without an inspection.
  • If you need to make a claim, you should call and report it to AXA in the usual way. When speaking to our handler, if the damage fits certain criteria, we would offer you the option to manage the claim remotely, through our video claims assessment tool.
  • If your claim is suitable for video claims assessment we can email a link to our partner’s site where you can download an App. Our desk top assessment team will then call you and inspect the damage via the video call. A cash settlement can be agreed on the call, or shortly after if any additional work is required.
  • The video claims feature app is only available on apple and android devices.
