AXA UK & Ireland has today announced the appointment of Henri de la Serve as Chief Financial Officer, subject to regulatory approval. Roland Moquet, who has held the role for five years, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at AXA Belgium.

Henri joins AXA UK & Ireland on 1 September from AXA Spain, where he is currently Chief Financial Officer. He will be a member of the UK & Ireland Management Committee and report to the UK & Ireland CEO, Tara Foley.

Prior to his role at AXA Spain, Henri held senior roles across AXA in the Far East and Europe over the past 13 years. Before joining AXA, he worked for Credit Agricole for more than five years.

It’s a real privilege to have someone of Henri’s calibre and experience joining AXA UK & Ireland. He brings a wealth of financial experience and has made a significant contribution to AXA Spain. Not only by protecting income and strengthening the balance sheet in a complex trading and regulatory environment, but by generating strategic business opportunities to drive profitability.

I’d also like to thank Roland for doing a fantastic job since joining us from AXA Italy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Roland has played a pivotal role in our resilience and stability and we’re extremely grateful for his leadership during one of the most challenging chapters of our history.

I’m delighted to be joining AXA UK & Ireland. There’s significant potential across the business and I look forward to bringing my experience from across the AXA Group to build on the great progress already being made to turn the UK & Ireland strategy into action. Roland is also leaving behind a very capable and talented team that I’m looking forward to working with.
