What is musician insurance?

Whether you’re a drummer knocking out the next big beat or new to the music scene and still finding your rhythm, we’ve got the cover to suit you. As a musician, you are your business and it’s important that you protect yourself.

Accidents can happen at any time, it’s unavoidable. Musicians rely on interactions with the public, which means you’ll want to be protected in case there’s ever a claim against you for accidental injury or damage. Or, say your instruments or equipment were to get accidentally damaged, lost or stolen – how will this affect your ability to perform?

No matter why you need us, we’ve got your back.

Do I need musician insurance?

As a musician, you rely on your instruments to be able to do your job. So if something should happen to them you stand to lose a lot more than just the cost of those instruments. If you can’t afford to get them replaced right away, you won’t be able to do your job, which is more money lost.

The same might happen if you were to accidentally injure someone when you’re unloading or setting up your equipment for a gig. Can you afford the cost of a claim, or the damage to your reputation?

With insurance, you can rest assured in the knowledge that no matter whether it’s theft, accidental damage or injury, you’re covered.

What does it cover?

What you’re covered for depends on the types of insurance you choose. For musicians, there are various covers that you might want to consider.

Public liability insurance

This is one of our core covers that will benefit musicians. This will help to protect you in the event that a member of the public is accidentally injured, or their property damaged as a result of your business. We’ll cover you for up to £5 million as standard under our policy.
