AXA’s Courtesy Car Cover Options and Upgrades
Keep on the move after an accident with a courtesy car
Find out more about the courtesy car options available with AXA car insurance policies:
The last thing you want is to be left without a car after an accident. We get it. That’s why we provide a courtesy car as standard with AXA Plus Car Insurance policies and as an optional extra on AXA Car Insurance policies.
We even offer a courtesy car upgrade option on AXA Plus Car Insurance policies, meaning you'll get a courtesy car that's similar to your own.
Courtesy car cover
The cover level you choose will have an effect on the kind of courtesy car cover you get. To make things simple, we’ve put together a quick overview of the differences:

Courtesy car upgrade
If you choose AXA Plus Car Insurance, you’ll get a courtesy car as standard. However, you’ll also be able to get our courtesy car upgrade add-on. With this add-on, you’ll get:
- A similar car to your own while your car is being repaired, or for up to 21 days if your car has been stolen or written off.
- Up to £25 a day for alternative travel costs if we can’t provide you with a courtesy car
So, if you drive a 7-seater, we’ll do our best to get you a car with the same number of seats. You can add the courtesy car upgrade to your policy when you get an AXA Plus Car Insurance quote, or through your online account.
