AXA UK has received a prestigious award for underwriting from Gracechurch, an independent insurance research consultancy that specialises in performance benchmarking.

The insurer received the 2025 UK Underwriting Service Quality Marque (SQM) in recognition of outstanding underwriting service in the UK regional market. The SQM is awarded annually based on the Net Promoter Score (NPS) achieved by the insurer over the previous year, combined with how they rate on the key service metrics of communications and commerciality.

AXA UK was recognised by producing and placing brokers in the UK regional market, and for being consistently highly rated for two service-oriented metrics: collaboration and customer focus. The insurer exceeded the threshold of at least 80% positive ratings over the previous year, meaning that brokers and those insured can expect to receive a good experience.

This is the second consecutive award for the AXA UK underwriting team, demonstrating its ability to deliver quality service at scale. AXA’s core service strength lies in being flexible and solution-orientated, and comments frequently cite the team’s willingness to support brokers in all areas including new business, renewals and claims.
