AXA UK Commercial launches new broker development programme

  • AXA UK demonstrates commitment to support career development among its broker partners with new training programme
  • First 20 delegates selected for March launch
  • Programme features residential seminar and individual coaching focusing on succession planning to accelerate careers

The first 20 delegates have been selected to take part in AXA UK’s new broker development programme that launches in March with a three-day residential seminar in Paris.

The Horizon programme aims to support AXA’s broker partners by providing industry-leading training to build the senior leadership capabilities of their employees. The high-impact training focuses on succession planning and uses live high-stakes scenario simulations to challenge and test participants’ skills. 

The residential seminar covers self-awareness, effective communication under pressure and leading teams through organisational complexity. During the rest of the year, four deep-dive masterclasses will be held to further develop the delegates’ capabilities covering topics including attracting and retaining talent, strategic planning, data analysis and regulatory discipline. 

Individual career coaching sessions will also take place throughout the programme to ensure delegates are on track and get maximum benefit from the training.

The close relationships we build with our brokers are crucial to our business so helping them develop the next generation of senior leaders and keep their top talent on board is mutually beneficial.

The training is designed to provide practical skills that can immediately be put into action. It also introduces delegates to a peer group with whom they can collaborate and share their learnings. It approaches leadership as behaviour, equipping people to show up deliberately in moments that matter.

The Paris residential is hands-on – three days of live casework and rigorous peer challenge under real pressure. Our cohort will test decisions in a safe environment, get candid feedback and leave with simple, usable tools and the confidence to influence across large, matrixed organisations.

AXA UK’s regional branch managers and strategic partners nominated 45 candidates for the programme and 20 were selected to make up the first cohort of delegates, with much future interest in the initiative anticipated from brokers.

The programme will be run in association with financial services training specialists The Davies Group.
