David Williams wins Insurance Personality of the Year award

David Williams, Managing Director of Underwriting and Technical Services at AXA Insurance, was recognised as Insurance Personality of the Year at the British Insurance Awards last night at the Royal Albert Hall.

Williams has more than 30 years of experience in general insurance, mainly across claims and underwriting.

His expertise is often called upon for consultations, from autonomous vehicles to whiplash reforms. On the latter, he has had lively discussions with personal injury lawyers, in real life as well as on his Twitter account. His outspoken ways have made him popular among journalists, who regularly ask for his analysis of industry developments.

This is his second award this year, after winning the Achievement Award at the Post Claims Awards in June.
