Corporate Responsibility at AXA

Corporate Responsibility is not a new agenda for AXA in the UK and we have for some years been working to reduce our environmental impact, support local communities and work with stakeholders on the climate change issue.

In 2008 we reviewed our UK corporate responsibility strategy and reorganised our approach around the five pillars of governance, marketplace, workplace, community and environment. For further details on AXA Group's approach to corporate responsibility see the 2008 Activity and Sustainable Development report.

Governance

AXA UK’s Corporate Responsibility Board, chaired by the Group Marketing Director meets quarterly and is responsible for overseeing Corporate Responsibility (CR) policies and progress, ensuring alignment with AXA Group and making recommendations on strategy and activity to the UK Executive Committee. On a day-to-day basis our Head of Corporate Responsibility manages the CR programme with representatives from each of our operating companies and shared service functions.
