AXA’s unique financial social experiment kicked off in Brighton in November 2005. Its goal was to discover if access to professional advice and increased knowledge about financial planning could improve a person's financial well-being.
The experiment involved 20 households from a Brighton community. Half of them were given access to an IFA for a year while the other half were left to their own devices.
Over the last twelve months our IFA has taken the participants through three key stages: managing debt, short-medium term savings, retirement planning and in some instances investment management.
Meet the participants and read about how the experiment affected them.
