AXA Global Healthcare appointments for Spain and Africa

Derry Andrews and Ed Daniels have joined AXA PPP International as regional sales managers for Spain and for Africa, respectively, reporting to sales & marketing director, Kevin Melton.

Based in Spain, Derry will be responsible for enhancing the international medical insurer's sales operations in the Iberian Peninsula (including Gibraltar) and Morocco.

With over thirty years of industry experience, Derry has worked for BUPA and Mutual of Omaha International's UK health arm, Health First, and was later managing director of PMI provider Clinicare. He joins from global health benefits company, Aetna, where he was a regional director for its medical insurance business.

Ed, who joins with 18 years of medical insurance experience - most recently at BUPA International and Interglobal - will be focusing on developing new markets and expanding the insurer's distribution capability in Africa via local channels. He'll be based in South Africa, where he has lived for the past two years.
