  • AXA UK&I awarded gold by Stonewall for LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the workplace
  • AXA is committed to improving and encouraging diversity and inclusion throughout the business and promoting a culture where everyone can bring 100% of themselves to work

AXA UK & Ireland has been awarded a Stonewall Gold Award in recognition of their commitment to creating a welcoming workplace for lesbian, gay, bi and trans colleagues. AXA has also moved up 24 spaces in Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index.

AXA is committed to growing a culture where everybody can bring 100% of themselves to work and believes that a happy and engaged workforce, that strives to celebrate diversity, enables the best outcomes for customers.

To encourage this culture, AXA has implemented a strong Diversity and Inclusion agenda that goes beyond the Protected Characteristics of the Equality Act 2010. Over the last 12 months, the D&I team, alongside the Pride employee resource group, has reviewed and revised the Transitioning at Work policy, launched a Resource Hub specifically for LGBTQ+ learning materials, created an awareness training module and also ran internal events to promote inclusion amongst colleagues.

I am proud of the work we are doing at AXA UK&I to create an environment where people feel they belong. This award is testament to the initiatives we have put in place to support our LGBTQ+ colleagues and we will continue to work hard in creating a culture of inclusion for all.
