  • AXA UK announces it has joined GAIN, a community interest company supporting neurodivergent individuals in the financial services industry
  • The move further reinforces AXA UK’s commitment to becoming a fully inclusive workplace by strengthening support for its neurodivergent employees

AXA UK has today announced it is joining the Group for Autism, Insurance, Investment and Neurodiversity (GAIN) to strengthen its support for neurodivergent employees and reinforce its commitment to creating a culture where everyone feels they belong.

GAIN is a community interest company which aims to spark an industry-owned and led radical improvement in the employment prospects of neurodivergent people in insurance, investment and related areas of financial services. AXA UK will work with GAIN to understand how its policies and procedures can better accommodate neurodivergent employees and their needs.

GAIN will also provide AXA UK with access to industry specific advice and guidance from qualified partners to help develop the insurer’s best practice and neuro-inclusive policies and procedures.

AXA UK’s Employee Network ‘Able’ is focused on disability, long term conditions, neurodiversity and mental health launched its Neurodiversity workstream in 2022. This workstream aims to raise awareness about neurodiversity in the workplace whilst providing an opportunity for our neurodiverse talent to network. The collaboration with GAIN will help to further build on the support provided by this group.

This partnership is further evidence of the importance we place on creating an inclusive workplace where neurodivergent talent is able to thrive. By working with GAIN we will contribute to creating a more diverse insurance sector that better reflects its customer base and attracts the very best talent to work in it.
