Keep your keys safe

Don't leave keys under the doormat or under a plant pot next to the door. These are common places to hide house keys which burglars will often search. You should also make sure you don't leave your house keys on view inside your house, as burglars have been known to pick keys up with a long stick through the letterbox.

You should always change the locks when you move in to a new house. You do not know who the previous owners may have given a key to.
